Día de Muertos [Day of the Dead] Picnic

A November to Remember - Highlights from AltaMed's Día de Muertos Company Picnic! Families and friends of AltaMed gathered under the 2019 November sky to celebrate Día de Muertos, a day of life and death observed with vibrant colors. Sugar skulls, festive music, transcendent aromatic foods, marigold flowers, and Calavera painted faces adorned the event. Bonelli Park, the annual picnic venue, couldn't accommodate the massive crowd, so off-site parking with shuttles was arranged. The Día de Muertos themed picnic had the largest turnout yet, with nearly 7,000 people. Carnival games, foosball, sports stations, bounce houses, and carnival rides kept everyone entertained. Face painting, caricature artists, and photo stations captured memorable moments. Guests decorated treat bags and enjoyed a feast with grilled burgers, tacos, and homemade salsas. Exotic fruit salads and novelty foods added a sweet touch to dessert. AltaMed employees and their families reveled in the fun, creating a strong bond throughout the organization.
